On Sept. 15, 1975, Pink Floyd released its classic ninth album Wish You Were Here. The album peaked at No.1 in the U.S. and U.K., and spent a total of 84 weeks on the chart. Its title track became a staple among songs that young guitarists would learn on their acoustic instruments. Thirty years later, Pink Floyd front man Roger Waters performed an acoustic version of the song with his fellow Briton and music legend Eric Clapton at the 2005 Tsunami Aid benefit concert.
